A lady has sparked conversations on social media after expressing disappointment over the response she received from someone she assisted financially, saying the experience left her feeling that many people no longer appreciate simple acts of kindness.
According to the woman, the person had contacted her the previous night to request ₦3,000.
She said she immediately agreed to help and asked the individual to send a bank account number for the transfer.
The lady explained that after receiving the account details, the borrower requested an amount higher than the original sum.
However, she said she politely declined, citing her own financial responsibilities while still fulfilling the initial request.
Lady recounts what happened after sending the money
The lady said, “People are ungrateful I swear. Someone asked me for 3k last night, I immediately said ok, send acct, then she sent and said ‘you fit add something o’ but I sincerely told her I no too guide right now due to some things I had and have to take care of personally and family wise but I can give her the 3k. I sent the money and this girl just said ‘I’ve seen it’. That was all. I’m not saying she should worship me for 3k o but I realised those are the kinda people that don’t appreciate bare minimums.”
