A video posted online has drawn attention after a young lady from Nigeria opened up about giving birth to a child outside marriage.

The clip, which circulated on TikTok, showed her speaking about the situation while displaying her infant.

New mum emotional after childbirth

The lady, who used the TikTok handle @prettypraise, explained that her mother was unaware of the birth.

She stated that she had been anxious about revealing the truth and was unsure how to tell her mother.

According to her, she had let her mother down and had not followed the guidance she had been given regarding modesty and chaste conduct.

She recalled that her mother had often tried to caution her, as though she sensed what might happen.

Despite those warnings, the lady admitted that she had not taken the advice to heart.

She confessed feeling regret over her actions and acknowledged that the outcome could no longer be changed.

In her caption, she expressed affection for her mother and voiced concern about how the news would be received when she eventually shared it.

In her words:

“Chai my mum will swear that her little girl hasn’t met a man but she doesn’t know that I am already a mum. I pray she survive the news when I finally tell her about my child. I love you mum. Omo I failed my mum and she really tried her best to at least advising me like she saw it coming but all the best it’s been don already.”
