Former Anambra State governor and the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has challenged Nigerians to publicly reveal any wrongdoing they know about him, saying accountability and transparency are necessary in public life.
Obi made the remarks during a podcast interview with Rufai Oseni of Arise TV.
During the discussion, Oseni said: “So, you want Kenneth to go and expose you.”
In response, Obi said he welcomed scrutiny from everyone, not just Kenneth.
Obi invites public scrutiny
“Not just Kenneth, everybody should now say those things they know that is bad about me or I did that is wrong because it’s good for the system, it’s good for the society,” Obi said.
The NDC presidential candidate added that anyone with information about misconduct on his part should come forward and make it public.
He said: “So, if you know that when we were in primary school, this man was cheating or didn’t go to the primary school, didn’t go to secondary school, didn’t do, if you know this man has done something criminal somewhere, this is time to bring it up.”
‘Bring it up now’
Obi maintained that any allegations or evidence of wrongdoing linked to him should be presented openly for public assessment.
