Delta Killing: I regret being a Nigerian citizen, its a shame — GehGeh

Social commentator, Gehgeh, has raised serious allegations against officers of the Delta State Police Command, accusing them of repeated cases of brutality and excessive use of force.

In a viral video, he condemned what he described as a pattern of misconduct by police operatives in the state, citing both a recent fatal incident and his personal experience.

He alleged that on March 31, officers pursued a young man who reportedly ran into a river while attempting to escape arrest.

According to him, police officers entered the water during the chase but later abandoned the situation, resulting in the man drowning.

GehGeh also claimed that the matter was not properly addressed after public protests.

He further alleged that in a separate incident, officers shot a man in broad daylight in Delta State, describing the victim as unarmed and already restrained at the time of the shooting.

He questioned the conduct of the officers involved and called for accountability.

Expressing concern over what he described as growing impunity, he suggested that some officers act without fear of consequences.

The social commentator also recounted a personal encounter, claiming that he, along with his driver and manager, narrowly escaped being shot by police officers during a stop-and-search operation in the Ubromo area.

He alleged that officers suddenly opened fire near their vehicle without provocation.

The allegations have sparked reactions online, with many users calling for an investigation into the conduct of the officers and broader police accountability in Delta State.
