Liverpool want to sign Nico Williams

AdminBy AdminApril 30, 2026Updated:May 1, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the La Liga attacker Nico Williams.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, and it will be interesting to see if Liverpool comes forward with an offer to sign him.

According to reports from Spain, the player could cost around €80 million. Although the report claims that Liverpool would be willing to make that investment, it would be quite surprising.

Nico Williams has not been at his best

Even though they need more quality on the flanks, Williams has not been at his best this season and paying €80 million for him would be a mistake. The player has scored just once in his last 18 appearances. He has struggled for regular gametime with Athletic Club Bilbao in recent weeks.

There is no doubt that he is a talented player with a bright future, but Liverpool will be hoping to sign him for a more reasonable fee. Williams has just four goals and six assists in 30 matches this season.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Can Liverpool negotiate a deal for Williams?

Liverpool are looking at multiple wide players. They have been linked with Yan Diomande, Ez Abde and Francisco Conceicao, among others.

They will need to replace Mohamed Salah in the summer and upgrade Cody Gakpo as well. It is no surprise that they are keeping tabs on Williams. He has the potential to succeed in the Premier League, but he needs to regain his form and confidence.

The Spanish club will have to be reasonable in their demands for the move to go through.

It has been a disappointing season for Liverpool so far, and they will look to plug the gaps in their squad during the summer transfer window so that they can compete with Arsenal and Manchester City next season. Adding more quality on the flanks should be one of their priorities.
