A Nigerian woman has sought clarity over a text from her sister-in-law, sparking buzz online.
In a post on her X handle, @HerbertJane06, the lady disclosed that the text, which left her in awe, came after a visit.
Lady’s Post Sparks Buzz
According to the woman, before her brother-in-law and his wife visited, she had prepared bitter leaf soup for her husband.
Upon arrival, she teased her brother-in-law about it being his favorite.
”We all laughed, I dished out the food and we all ate.When they were leaving, he asked me to pack some soup for him to take home, so I did”, She stated, recounting how the visit unfolded.
Sister-in-law Reaches Out
However, a few hours later, her brother-in-law’s wife reached out via text, expressing her disappointment over the bitter leaf soup being packed for him during the visit.
In the text, her sister-in-law informed her about the aftermath of a similar incident stating, “The last time you gave him soup, he barely ate any soup I cooked until he finished yours”.
Sharing details of her response, the X user recalled, “I told her I couldn’t possibly deny my husband’s elder brother food in our house after he openly asked for it. I also told her if it truly bothers her, she should speak to her husband directly because my husband himself would be upset if I refused his brother something that simple”.
