A Caucasian woman has sparked heated reactions online after opening up about how she met her current husband while she was still married to another man.
Sharing her story, the woman revealed that her now-husband first spotted her in a parking lot and immediately became interested in her.
However, she made it clear from the beginning that she was married and had no plans of ending her marriage.
In her words, she said:
“I was dating my husband for two years while I was still married. I told him I was a married woman then and I was never going to get divorced.”
According to her, things later took a different turn when her marriage deteriorated to what she described as “the point of no return.”
She explained that shortly afterwards, she unexpectedly ran into the same man again at a party. What started as a chance encounter eventually developed into a relationship she believes changed her life.
The woman said she felt fate was giving her another opportunity at happiness and eventually chose to leave her marriage.
Although her divorce reportedly took about two years to be finalised, she continued dating her current husband throughout that period.
“If you don’t make a move right now, you’re going to regret it for the rest of your life. Don’t let your husband get in the way of finding the love of your life,” she added.
Her story has since generated mixed reactions online, with some praising her for choosing happiness, while others criticised her for pursuing a new relationship before her divorce.
One user wrote, “This is emotional cheating, no matter how you try to explain it.” Another commented, “At least she was honest about her situation from the beginning.”
