A lady has stirred reactions online after declaring that she would never remain in a relationship with a man who physically assaults her.
In a video shared on social media, the woman stated that physical abuse is a boundary she would never compromise on, insisting that any act of violence would immediately end the relationship.
“Never say never but I will say never”
She said she would rather face other marital challenges than tolerate being beaten by a partner.
While explaining her position, the woman maintained that she would never allow a man to hit her, despite the popular saying that people should never say never.
Lady outlines her stance
Speaking on the issue, she said:
“Why do you think that I’ll allow a man to hit me. They say never say never but me I’ll say never in this particular matter, you’ll never hit me and if you hit me, we’re done.”
She further stated:
“It’s better you call police as a man in my life. It’s better to divorce me or bring a second wife but you see hitting is the biggest red flag I can ever take from anybody.”
Recalling her upbringing, she added:
“Me wey my parents didn’t really beat me when I was a child, I can never take it by the grace of God.”
Her remarks have since generated conversations online, with many social media users sharing their views on domestic violence, marriage and personal boundaries in relationships.
