A UK-based Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after claiming he recently discovered that Nigeria also denies visa applications to foreigners.

According to him, he made the discovery after meeting a Kenyan woman living in the United Kingdom who allegedly complained that her Nigerian visa application had been rejected twice.

In his words, he said:

“Nigeria dey deny visa oo. I just realised today that Nigeria do deny visa, and the rate is very high. There’s this Kenyan girl in UK here. She has Nigerian friends, so she wanted to come to Nigeria this Dirty December to explore and have fun with them. She applied twice, but they denied her visa.”

The man said the Kenyan woman became emotional while narrating her experience, expressing surprise that it was difficult to obtain a Nigerian visa.

He added that she insisted she would apply for the visa a third time, hoping she would eventually be granted entry into the country.

“She was very upset and even crying. I asked her, ‘You know say na Nigeria you won go?’ She said yes. I started bragging, ‘Don’t you know Nigeria is one of the biggest countries in Africa? It is always hard to enter.’ She said she would apply for the third time, hoping they would approve it,” he added.

Concluding his story, the man told Nigerians to be proud that their country also rejects visa applications from foreigners.

His comments have since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing their opinions and personal experiences about Nigeria’s visa application process.
