Is the five-year jail term for men only? – Jarvis cries out after rewatching wedding video

Nigerian TikToker and AI sensation, Jarvis has reacted to her viral registry wedding video with Peller, admitting that the mention of a five-year prison sentence during the ceremony caught her attention.

The couple had gone viral after a funny moment at the registry when the acting registrar explained that anyone who violated marriage rules could be guilty of bigamy, an offence punishable by a minimum of five years imprisonment without an option of fine.

Jarvis reacts to bigamy warning

In a video shared online, Jarvis said she was going through their wedding clips when she came across the moment and started thinking about the legal warning again.

“I don’t know how to do that thing. Hey, hey. That was five years imprisonment or something. I swear to God. I was just thinking about it just now because I just saw the video again.”

She explained that although she was enjoying watching the wedding memories, the warning made her pause.

“Like, you know, I’m going through the videos and I’m like, I’m blushing but when I go to that one, joke apart. I had to think about it again.”

“Is it for the two of us?” – Jarvis queries

Jarvis then questioned whether the punishment applied only to men or both partners in a marriage.

“That’s five years imprisonment pls. Is it for the men only? Or is it for the two of us?”

She added that Peller’s reaction during the ceremony made her wonder if the punishment was only for men.

“Because I feel like… I feel like for my man (Peller) to react, maybe it’s for the men only. Maybe it’s not for the two of us.”

However, she quickly dismissed the thought and prayed against anything that could affect their marriage.

“Nothing will happen in Jesus. God forbid. I rebuke and I cast. In the name of Jesus.”
