Why no amount of money will make me go back to Nigeria – UK-Based Nigerian woman

A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has said she would not relocate permanently to Nigeria, even if offered £200,000, citing the painful loss of two children to alleged medical negligence.

Speaking during a street interview, the woman explained that her decision to leave Nigeria was never about money but about the traumatic experiences she endured.

She revealed that she lost two children in separate incidents within two years, which she attributed to medical negligence, adding that those experiences made it impossible for her to consider returning permanently.

According to her, while medical errors can occur anywhere, she believes the frequency is much lower in the UK, insisting that no financial offer would be enough to make her move back to Nigeria.

Interviewer: “For 2 hundred pounds, you’re asked to go back to Nigeria and never to return the UK, would you take such?”

Lady: “Never! And ever. And ever.”

Interviewer: “But it’s approximately 400 million Naira.”

Lady: “I don’t care. You can’t even pay me enough to go back.

Unfortunately, I did not migrate from Nigeria because of money. I lost two children due to medical negligence. Yes. Back to back. In two years. Every time I tell the doctors here in the UK that my children d!£d because of this and this. They’ll be like am I joking. So there’s nothing you can say to me that will make me go back. I know it happens here too but, the ratio is very very low….”
