A lady identified as Miss Sandra has gone viral after sharing an unusual experience involving a man she met on TikTok, who allegedly gifted her a car just two weeks after they began talking.
In a video circulating on social media, Sandra explained that she met the man on TikTok and that they quickly became friends.
According to her, their conversations were casual, with the man occasionally complaining about how far she lived from him.
She recalled that during one of their conversations, he asked why she did not own a car.
“He asked me, ‘Why don’t you have a car?’ I told him it’s not as if you can just walk into a shop and say, ‘Give me a car.’ We both laughed about it.”
Sandra said the topic came up again when she experienced banking issues that required her to visit her bank branch in Utako, Abuja, which she described as being far from where she lives.
She explained that after checking the cost of a ride, which was nearly ₦13,000, she jokingly remarked that she needed a car.
“He asked if I wanted a car. I jokingly replied that if someone gave me one, I would collect it. We laughed because I thought he was joking.”
According to her, two days later, the man unexpectedly called and asked what type of car she wanted.
“I told him I don’t know much about cars, so any car would be fine. We both laughed again because I still believed he wasn’t serious.”
Sandra said the situation took a surprising turn when the man later requested her home address, saying he wanted to send her something.
She assumed it would be a small gift, especially since she had previously mentioned her love for doughnuts and ice cream.
Instead, she said a delivery agent arrived at her residence with a vehicle.
“When I stepped outside, I saw a car. I thought maybe he had brought something else. The man told me the car was for me. I checked the documents and saw that the papers had been prepared in my name.”
She admitted she was initially excited and grateful, saying she even started the vehicle to hear the engine before thanking the sender.
However, the excitement was short-lived after she informed her friends and family about the gift.
Sandra said one of her friends immediately advised her to return the car because she barely knew the man. Her mother and siblings also shared the same opinion, urging her not to accept such an expensive gift from someone she had only known for two weeks.
She revealed that she later called the man to express her appreciation while explaining that she felt uncomfortable accepting the vehicle.
“I told him I really appreciate the gift, but it’s too much. We just met, and we’re not even officially dating.”
According to Sandra, the man responded by saying he was not interested in dating because his intention was to marry her.
“He told me he wants to marry me and that even if it takes time to know me properly, he is willing to wait.”
The revelation left Sandra even more conflicted. While one of her friends insisted she should keep the car, another maintained that she should return it. Her mother and siblings also advised her to decline the gift.
Ending her video, Sandra admitted she was both excited and confused, asking social media users for advice.
“Right now, I’m so confused, but at the same time, I’m happy. What do you guys think? Should I return it or should I keep it?”
