Supercomputer tips Arsenal to retain Premier League title

Arsenal have been tipped to win the 2026-27 Premier League title, with a supercomputer predicting Mikel Arteta’s side will successfully defend the crown they ended a 22-year wait to claim last season.

The forecast also comes as Arsenal continue to be linked with a move for Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal predicted to finish top

According to a supercomputer simulation by Compare.bet, Arsenal have a 45 percent chance of retaining the Premier League title, the highest probability of any club.

The Gunners are projected to finish the campaign with 88 points, three more than they managed in their title-winning season.

The prediction estimates Arsenal will record 27 wins, seven draws and four defeats to finish ahead of Manchester City, who are expected to end the season on 85 points.

Liverpool are tipped to finish third with 74 points in Andoni Iraola’s first season in charge, while Chelsea are forecast to secure the final Champions League place in fourth under Xabi Alonso.

United, Spurs face mixed outlook

Manchester United are predicted to finish sixth in Michael Carrick’s first full season as manager after a campaign of 18 wins, nine draws and 11 defeats.

Newcastle are forecast to end the season in seventh, with Tottenham Hotspur recovering from successive 17th-place finishes to claim eighth under Roberto De Zerbi.

At the bottom of the table, the supercomputer predicts all three promoted clubs will be relegated immediately.

Hull City are expected to finish last with 19 points, while Coventry City and Ipswich Town are also tipped to return to the Championship.

Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland are all projected to battle against relegation, with Sunderland expected to finish only three points above the drop zone despite also competing in the UEFA Europa League.

The 2026-27 Premier League season is scheduled to begin on August 21, with Arsenal opening their title defence at home against newly promoted Coventry City.
