A 6-5 final win over rival Luke Humphries, the 2025 champion, saw him bank the £100,000 top prize at Arena MK.

Littler has not been beaten in a major event since October 25, 2025, when he went out of the European Championship second round to James Wade.

His unbeaten run covers the Grand Slam of Darts, Players Championship Finals, the World Darts Championship and now the World Masters – a sequence of 25 successive wins.

Littler rode his luck throughout, surviving a match dart in round one on Friday when Belgian thrower Mike De Decker could not take advantage.

And the world No1 was close to going out in the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon when Welshman Gerwyn Price squandered his shot at double 20.

In the final, he took out checkouts of 153 and 121 twice and survived the comeback from Humphries.

Cool Hand Luke, 30, levelled up at 3-3 after being 3-1 down and went 5-4 ahead in the race to six.

But Littler won the last two sets, sealing it with double 10, to inflict a fifth straight defeat in finals for the world No2.
