A Nigerian man, identified as Onuora Okeke, has stirred emotions online after sharing the heartbreaking condition of his wife following the death of their young daughter, Amanda.
Okeke took to Facebook on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, where he revealed that his wife has been emotionally down since the loss of their child.
Wife Struggles After Daughter’s Death
According to him, his wife has refused to eat, sleep, or bathe since Amanda passed away, despite efforts from family members and others trying to comfort her.
He added that anything related to their late daughter triggers strong emotional reactions, often leaving her in tears and unable to function normally.
Okeke also said he had removed many of Amanda’s belongings from their home in an attempt to help his wife recover emotionally, but the situation remains unchanged.
Man Seeks Advice
He appealed to members of the public who may have experienced similar loss to advise him on how best to support his wife through the painful period.
He wrote: “Since the death of my beautiful daughter Amanda my wife have refused to take bath, she refused to eat.
She is full of fear. Once she see anything that belongs to Amanda she will be shivering and crying. She doesn’t sleep in the night.
I have thrown almost everything that belongs to my daughter away including her feeding bottles, all the drugs we bought for her, pampers and some of her clothes so she can get better all to no avail.
Thousands of people have been talking to her and yet.
Please those that have passed through this path should advise me on what to do next to calm her down.
But losing a child is too painful. It’s not even good to wish your enemy.”
