Crystal Palace have confirmed the appointment of French coach Pierre Sage as their new manager, with the former Lens boss signing a three-year contract that includes the option of an additional year.
The 47-year-old will officially take charge on July 1, succeeding Oliver Glasner, who announced earlier this year that he would leave the club after a highly successful spell at Selhurst Park.
Sage arrives after successful Lens spell
Sage joins Palace after an impressive campaign with Lens, where he guided the French side to their first-ever Coupe de France title and a second-place finish in Ligue 1.
During his time at the club, Sage oversaw 40 matches, recording 27 victories, five draws and eight defeats. His achievements in France helped establish him as one of the most highly regarded coaches in the country.
The appointment comes as Palace prepare for their maiden UEFA Europa League campaign, following a historic period under Glasner.

Glasner departs as one of the most successful managers in Crystal Palace history after leading the Eagles to the club’s first major honours.
The Austrian guided Palace to victories in the FA Cup, Community Shield and UEFA Conference League, achievements that made him a popular figure among supporters.
