Manchester City got very lucky in today’s 3-0 Premier League win over Brentford as it looked like the visitors were denied a clear penalty when the score was still 1-0.

Take a look at the video clip below as somehow nothing was given as Matheus Nunes brought Kevin Schade down without really getting anywhere near the ball…

Needless to say, this one moment could have completely changed the game, and the destination of this season’s Premier League title.

If Brentford had drawn level and it stayed that way, then Man City’s title hopes would be all but over, but they’re now just two points behind Arsenal.

The Gunners can extend their lead at the top again tomorrow if they beat West Ham, and they arguably still have easier-looking fixtures than City remaining.

Title race between Arsenal and Man City going down to the wire

It looks like this title race is going down to the wire, with just two points separating these sides, meaning we may have to wait until the final day to learn who’s going to finish as champions.

Arsenal have West Ham away, Burnley at home, and Crystal Palace away to come, with tomorrow’s trip to the London Stadium looking like the trickiest of their final few fixtures.

City, meanwhile, have Palace at home, Bournemouth away, and Aston Villa at home.

Pep Guardiola’s side had been six points behind at one point, but recently closed the gap by beating Arsenal 2-1 when the two sides met a few weeks ago.

However, they lost momentum again with a 3-3 draw away to Everton before getting back on track today.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will surely head to West Ham tomorrow full of confidence after beating Atletico Madrid in midweek to make it into the Champions League final.
