Hours before its primetime premiere, 20/20 announces a special-edition episode paying tribute to the undisputed Queen of Country Music, Dolly Parton.
With a 60-minute run time, 20/20‘s Dolly Parton: An American Original is set to air at 10 p.m. PT/ET on the eve of her passing, Aug. 25. It can either be broadcast on TV through your local ABC affiliate or streamed live on any service that carries said network, namely DirecTV and Fubo, both of which offer free trial periods.
Alternatively, the special will be available to watch on demand the following day, Wednesday, Aug. 26, with a subscription to Disney+/Hulu.

Meanwhile, CBS prepares for its own hour-long tribute, A CBS News Special: Dolly Parton — An American Icon, airing on Aug. 25 during the same time slot (which can similarly be livestreamed via DirecTV, Fubo and other live TV streaming services that carry the network). CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King and CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil will present the special, which will include excerpts from a variety of Parton’s interviews over the years (60 Minutes, Person-To-Person, among others). The network will also simulcast the special on its streaming home, Paramount+, available to subscribers with the Premium plan.
